How to post a request?

Notice: Users must apply for CAF before using containers on the eCN platform.

Supplier and User can search and post requests directly on the Dashboard.

Users must apply for a Credit Application before requesting a one-way service.(Without a Credit Application, we cannot support the one-way service.)

In the dashboard, click "post request"

1. Click "Want to Supply" if you're a Supplier, or "Want to Use" if you're a User.

2. The post will be hidden from your dashboard after this period, but can be reposted at any time.


3. Choose Pick-up and Drop-off locations using UN/LOCODE format.


4. Write quantity and type of containers, choose the condition CW or IICL

  • CW (Cargo-worthy) indicates that the shipping container is structurally sound and approved as safe for transporting cargo.
  • IICL (International Institute of Container Lessors) is a used shipping container certified to meet strict inspection standards, ensuring it is in good condition for shipping or storage.
5. Enter freeday, per diem, and DPP.
  • Freeday is the number of days each container may be used for free, counting begins when the container is picked up.
  • PDM (Per Diem) is the Daily lease fee for each container after the free days.
  • DPP (Damage Protection Plan) is a guarantee cover provided by a container supplier to protect a container user against damage.


6. Pick-up fee is a one-time charge applied when the container is picked up, based on the price difference between the pickup and drop-off locations.

  • User-Paid: The charge is applied when the container is picked up.
  • Supplier-Paid: The charge is applied when the container is returned.


7. RV(Replacement Value) is the container’s value agreed between Supplier and User. If the container is lost or unrecoverable, the User must pay the RV amount listed in the Request.

    CEU FULL Guarantee

  • A protection plan for Suppliers in case of total container loss. eCN and User each pay USD 1 per 0.5 CEU.
  • This fee is billed once upon pickup and then every 30 days following the end of the free period, continuing until the container is returned.

8. Cancellation Terms - Time window to cancel a Request without fee after mutual acceptance. After this period, a cancellation fee applies.

    Build up Period - Time limit to pick up containers after Supplier issues the pick-up order. If not picked up within this period, free days start automatically the next day.
